Business Basics are driven to raise funds and awareness for Variety

The BusinessBasics team is not always just focused on business – sometimes they shift their attention to charity.

This weekend marks the start of the annual Variety NSW Bash, raising money for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

The Variety NSW Bash is a week-long adventure with mates, colleagues and family, driving pre-1976 cars through regional NSW. This event is something that BusinessBasics Chairman, Adam McDean, has long wanted to participate in.

“Last year was the year that I finally got the chance to join in and it was fun, entertaining and a lot of hard work,” Adam said. “We’ve come back bigger and better this year, with a bit of experience under our belt, some modifications to the car and a drive to raise even more funds for Variety.”

Joining Adam in the car are two other BusinessBasics Directors, Barry Fairman (Baz) and Anthony Flintham (Ant). They will leave from Newcastle on the weekend and travel through Dubbo, Coonabarabran, Goondiwindi, Casino, Grafton and Tuncurry, returning back to Newcastle.

Funds raised on the NSW Bash will go towards the work of Variety, providing equipment, therapy and medical supplies to children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

Every dollar raises will help make a difference to the lives of Aussie kids in need.

  • $5,000– can help provide a school with playground equipment
  • $10,000– can help provide a family with wheelchair vehicle modifications
  • $15,000can help provide a Liberty Swing for children with special needs
